Pallas´s Gull in central Sweden
An adult (winter) Pallas´s Gull (Larus ichtyaetus) was found by a stretch of open water in the otherwise ice-covered inland lake Hjälmaren by Örebro today. It´s only the 2:nd record ever in Sweden and certainly the first twitchable. The first record from July 2008 (an adult bird in summer plumage on the island Gotland) was only seen (but well documented) by two observers. One of few distant pictures here!
